Kill a ceramic Coating with W.E.T.S.?

Thanks BKeets3 and The Gus for your input. The coating is coming up to the 3-year mark in September. The dead spot is under the bed cap trim but only a small section, the rest of the 3D coating has been perfect. I have used my W.E.T.S. on the trim previously but looks like something dripped...

Kill a ceramic Coating with W.E.T.S.?

Mike, Reaching back into your past product experiences with 3D Coating and time with Autogeek products, can you give some thoughts on this problem of a solvent dripping onto a ceramic protected surface. I used the Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant on the top cap trim on the bed of my F150. It...

How to remove ancient dried and hardened PPF Adhesive on a Motorhome RV Frontend

On a follow-up I thought I would show everyone the products used during the process. Using YouTube video's is great to find out things and let others give you tips and suggestions. Each is specific to their own needs and while some things are similar I find out what works for them is often not...

How to remove ancient dried and hardened PPF Adhesive on a Motorhome RV Frontend

***Update*** I was unable to run into Fellers for the Rapid Remover but was able to find that Xylene worked wonders to loosen the bond between the PPF and the adhesive layer. Problem with Xylene is avoiding the seams that hold the solvent and under high temps over 95-degrees. Lesson learned...

How to remove ancient dried and hardened PPF Adhesive on a Motorhome RV Frontend

Thanks Mike and to Russel's suggestions. I did find that Xylene (thinner for Expoxies/Enamel) was able to soften the adhesive but not quickly either. I will hunt down the Rapid Remover product local and if not will order from Amazon. So far I have removed the entire front section off this...

2023 Ford F150 King Ranch interior

Petescoffee (Dave), I have a 2018 KR F150 so doubt you will have any trouble finding products for the interior cleaning and protection. Key to keeping it great is use an interior cleaning product and leather cleaner first and frequently. Not sure if they really are wood but any wood inside the...

How to remove ancient dried and hardened PPF Adhesive on a Motorhome RV Frontend

Thanks, any tips are appreciated for this very slow process. I do know that Ft. Myers has a shop that specializes in this service, UGLY Shield Removal. They sell a adhesive remover but at $200/gallon I think I will keep searching for more options.

How to remove ancient dried and hardened PPF Adhesive on a Motorhome RV Frontend

How to remove ancient dried and hardened PPF Adhesive on a Motorhome RV Frontend I started this project to remove the 10-year old PPF film off the front of the Fleetwood coach. Using steam and plastic razor blade to PPF film ( tearing off a small section at a time). However the cracking and...

    Smoker's Odor Interior

Does anyone have products or methods to help eliminate that smoker's smell from a used vehicle? At MTE OdoRize from Florida was touting their products as a way to kill that smell. I have seen no strong reviews to trust... WG Product Line I know that a few vendors do offer a chemical "odor...

Restore lost and faded Mazda paint

I was asked about services on a newly purchased vehicle to address the dull paint finish on this 2012 Mazda -3. I was able to inspect and found the paint in various conditions but saw what I thought was clear coat failure hazing and then the paint was just dull from sun exposure. I had to make...

Meguiar's Show Car Glaze #7 - Clear Coat

Just update anyone reading this after the first post. I ended up going aggressive but tried Comet and was working but a slow method. Tried the kitchen Soft Scrub product and it work better with a bug sponge or the Stoner Wheel Cleaner Pad. One thing on the black scum found on the top, a...

Meguiar's Show Car Glaze #7 - Clear Coat

Looks like a disaster exterior detail is my project for the week. This vehicle has sat outside under trees for so many years and now the owner is asking for a small miracle. Surface beside being just grime ridden is showing micro cracking that I assume is a form of clear coat failure...
