    The 1960 Mercedes 190 SL

Is that Firebird a T/A? If so, they only made 8 of them. I don't have the courage to dry sand a car.

    The 1960 Mercedes 190 SL

Great save. Did you have to do any wet sanding? Also, is that Firebird what I think it is?:)

    Leaving Foam Cannons Loaded

Gentlemen, thanks for the input. I just got analysis paralysis on this one.

    Leaving Foam Cannons Loaded

As I get older, (and lazier), I was thinking of having two cannons ready to go. One with Griots Surface wash and the other with Griots PolyGloss. Rather than having to stop, unscrew the head, screw it on a rinse bottle, rinse it, unscrew it and put it on the PolyGloss bottle, unscrew it, put it...

Stretching - Wiping down door hood trunk and hatchback jambs

When washing the car, the jambs are wet, I wipe them down. Why overthink it?

Safest methods for removing sap/pollen(/bird droppings) from paint?

I've used Poor Boys Bird S##t Remover with great success. A small bottle will last for years.

black plastic trim - 2021 Sienna minivan

I've never used a Mother's product with any success. I tried Back to Black some years ago, it just ran. I threw it out.

I've had success using Nextzett Plastic Deep Cleaner to remove wax from textured plastic. Should work on smooth, too. Mike, have you ever used the Solution Finish on grey trim?

    Tire Dressing

The Jescar has more sheen on my Conti DWS than on my wife's car with the Pirellis. Must be the tires.

    Tire Dressing

I used Jescar Tire and Trim. It's supposed to have a "Satin" finish. I find it a bit too glossy for me. My go-to has been Nextzett Vinyl Rubber Extra. I love the looks, but it doesn't last.
