mc2hill LOL, yeah, I learned that one. I keep a 32 oz spray bottle of rinseless on the side - just in case. But I've started with washing the roof, then dry. Then back glass, dry, windshield, dry ... and so on. It just means that I need to keep my drying towel close.
Actually, as time (half a day or so) the "fogging" lessens and finally stops. After a quick drive to the store this morning, it stopped completely and didn't come back.
It's not ALL over, but it is there. It looks like a very light mist on the surface that wipes away without drama. Could I be using too much NSP? I try not to...
Just redid the full ceramic coating on the Camaro today (Nxtzen 365 Pro) and used Dr Beasley's NSP 95. I already knew that after applying and removing the polish, the surface attracts moisture (it looks like you missed spots wiping it off) due to the nature of the polish.
I'm wondering though...
No worries Mike,
There are so many "right" ways to wash a car ... people just need to find one that suits them and run with it. For me, discovering Rinse-less wash was a game-changer ... especially now that I'm retired. I'm THAT type of detailer that could wash their car every day (been there...
I've done a couple of rinse-less washes on my and my wife's cars, using DIY Rinseless wash. This time I got the dilution correct. Awesome stuff!!! It's cut my wash time by about 2/3, and they're actually BETTER that a traditional wash with soap, water and a hose.
I was sent a sample (actually a full 150 ml bottle) of Nxtzen 365 Pro. A one-year coating made in Australia, and as far as I know, new to the US market. This is the 1st actual coating I've used, so I can't really compare it to others, but from all the coating videos I've watched, it seems very...
It's not just dealerships, body shops tend to be the same way, and the reason is their bottom line, I.E. - how much will it cost THEM to detail the cars properly.
Case in point, there is a really decent body shop within easy (even for me) walking distance from my house. My wife and son were...
Very high praise coming from you, Mike. I like the blue as well, much better than the black - which was nice in it's own way, but far to susceptible to marring and SHOWING the marring.
I figured since Mike's forum is (more or less) based around Dr Beasley's products, etc. This would be a good place to show off the video I made of my 1st use and impressions of the NSP 95 polish/primer.
Opinions welcome (be gentle, LOL)
:)
Mike, I found what you said to be true. These primer polishes are nothing like anything else. "Half as much, twice as long," is exactly right. As is "The results are nothing short of phenomenal."
The blue of my Camaro was literally glowing after a good working of the NSP 95, long before...
I'll admit, I was expecting more correction, but it's really no big deal that it doesn't. The vast improvements in the 4 mentioned areas more than makes up for the lack of cut (in my opinion).
I did work it extremely hard and in all honesty it was most likely too cold to have been polishing...
The US Distributor of NxtZen products contacted me a few months ago and asked if I would try, and evaluate, an Australian-produced spray coating. I said Sure, but that it would be a month or so before I could try it because I had to wait for NE Ohio's weather to cooperate. It is a 1-year...
Just over 3 months ago, I tried out 303`s Graphene Nano Spray Coating. Looking back now, I made several mistakes with it.
First, I didn`t let it `set up` for the recommended 5 minutes, I buffed it off sooner (which according to 303 will negatively affect the longevity). Too, I immediately...
My Camaro is the same. It is my DD and in the last 6 years I have accumulated 123,000 miles on it for a grand total of 148,000 miles. But it is still my 'baby' and as long as the wife isn't giving me "The Look!" or asking "Are you almost done?" it is relaxing to me to wash & wax it and baby it.
