1-Day Detailing Class - Extreme Paint Correction & Ceramic Coatings - Saturday, June 8th

There are NO CHAIRS! No Sitting! No PowerPoint Presentation - This class is PURE 100% hands-on paint correction and ceramic coatings.

See for yourself what our classes look like!
There are NO other classes like our classes on the market today. Want proof? Click the link below and look at the pictures.

601 pictures - what a real hands-on detailing class looks like!

All you're going to see are happy people having fun training on actual cars and also cool cars. No chairs. No sitting. Now boring PowerPoint where you have to try to stay awake through while someone is droning on and on about how great their products are.

Future of Detailing & Mike Phillips Certification
This course certifies students in the basic exterior detailing processes necessary to successfully detail cars professionally or as a hobby. The objective of this course is to restore real neglected automotive paint finishes using different levels of aggression to produce results ranging from production to show car quality. Skill Level: Beginner to Enthusiast/Professional

Topics covered,

Morning class session - Extreme Prep Wash
Students will begin the day by learning how to properly prepare real vehicles (not test hoods) for paintwork correction by washing and decontaminating the paint. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Machine scrubbing tires.
  • Proper and safe wheel cleaning techniques
  • Topical glass polishing. Students will use Dr. Beasley’s NSP GL to remove water spots and traffic film from windshield glass to restore a crystal-clear appearance.
  • Full body wash
  • Chemical Decontamination with Dr. Beasley’s Total Decontamination
  • Mechanical Decontamination with Clay Bars, Mitts & Towels

Paint Correction
Students will learn 3 types of paint correction & ceramic coatings with rotary & orbital polishers using Dr. Beasley’s Nano Surface Primers. Students will go hands-on with both rotary and orbital polishers and learn the pros and cons of both machine types.

1: Morning class session - Show car detailing - For this class, students will learn how to use a multiple-step process to perfect paint.

2: Mid-afternoon class session - One-step Ceramic AIO paint correction - For this class, students will learn how to use a one-step paint correction approach to detailing a car.

3: Late-afternoon class session - 1-step Ceramic AIO paint correction - For this class, students will learn how to use a 1-step Ceramic AIO to do fast, but professional production detailing.

There's no other class on planet Earth where you will get this much hands-on training time on real cars - not demo hoods.

Ceramic Coating Installation
After performing the paint correction steps, students will learn how to correctly apply a ceramic coating to achieve maximum performance and durability. Proper application technique and methods for addressing high spots will be covered. As well as how to inspect using swirl finder lights.

Graduation Ceremony
Following the completion of the day’s lessons, students will be awarded framed certificates affirming their certification in the topics covered during the class. Certificates will be mailed to students from our headquarters in Chicago following the completion of the class.

This is the most intense 1-day class on planet Earth. As such, we start early at 7:30am and the class goes until 5:30pm, with only a short lunch break.

Here are the training cars for this class. We always show you WHAT you're going to be training on before you sign-up for and pay for the class. Do your own research on other classes, check to see if you're going to train on actual cars or demo hoods. You learn more when you train on the real-deal.

The 3 minimum packages for your detail business menu offerings. You can of course, tweak to your style, this is just guide.

Package 1: 1-step AIO Paint Correction

This is your entry level package. It includes,

1. Washing and drying vehicle
2. Claying paint
3. Machine polishing all exterior body panels with a quality 1-step AIO
4. Dress tires & trim
5. Clean all glass

Package 2: 1-Step Paint Correction

This is your middle-of-the-road package. It includes,

1. Washing and drying vehicle
2. Claying paint
3. Machine polishing all exterior body panels with a quality polish
4. Installing a ceramic coating or wax – customer’s budget choice
5. Dress tires & trim
6. Clean all glass

Package 3: 2-Step Paint Correction -or- show car detailing

This is your high-end package. It includes,

1. Washing and drying vehicle
2. Claying paint
3. Machine polishing all exterior body panels with a quality compound
4. Machine polishing all exterior body panels with a quality polish
5. Installing a ceramic coating or wax – customer’s budget choice
6. Dress tires & trim
7. Clean all glass

Of course you can tweak or add packages for removing orange peel, etc. But the above are the 3 minimum packages you should offer.

The PROBLEM
The problem is too many people starting out do all the things listed in Package 3 but they are only charging for what they would charge for Package 1. This mean, you’re working for free most of the time. Have different packages for your customers and then let them decide according to their budget and the needs and/or WANTS they have for any particular car.

There’s a difference between detailing someone’s cool toy and their grocery getter.

I cover all of these packages in our 1-day class. Next class is Saturday, June 8th in Stuart, Florida – price is $595.00. We start EARLY at 7:30am, don’t be late. We go until all cars are detailed and all topics are covered.

First tool you will start the day with is the rotary polisher. You’ll learn to be confident with the rotary polisher, plus orbital polishers plus how-to install a ceramic coaing. Plus dozens of more techniques shared as you work through all the car.

No demo hoods. No chairs. Zero sitting. No PowerPoint. 100% hands-on from start to finish.

Great advice Mike! I know when I started doing other folks cars I wanted to make 'silk purses' out of them all. It was great training to help me figure out what I could and could not do with paint and interiors. One of my best 'training' cars was a friends SUV - it was extremely neglected, so lots areas to learn on! I did not make much money from it, but covered the cost of materials, and the knowledge helped save time on the next jobs.

I did not make much money from it, but covered the cost of materials, and the knowledge helped save time on the next jobs.

This is often called, going to The School of Hard Knocks.

Been there done that myself as have most people. And, there's nothing wrong with doing more work than expected and being paid for, when learning the ropes. But at some point, if a person is going to do this as a business or even side gig, they need to come up with one, two, three or more distinct packages. Let the customer decide which package they need and have the budget to pay for.

Thanks for chiming in.
