Wow! Great question! Sorry to say this topic is way out of my knowledge base.

PBE Store
If you live in any medium to large size city, a city with car dealerships and body shops, chances are very good you have a PBE store in your city.

PBE = Paint Body & Equipment

A PBE store stocks and sells all the tools and supplies needed in the collision industry. I would look to see if you have a PBE store in your town and if so, swing buy, introduce yourself, explain what you're trying to do and then ask them if they have the type of glue or adhesive you're wanting to use for your car build.

Besides that, you can try to find

  • Autobody Facebook Group
  • Car painting Facebook Group
  • Autobody Forum

Join one or all of the above and ask your questions to this eco-system of people.

Apologies this is out of my realm of expertise, but maybe some of the recommendations above will help you.

3M makes various panel bonding adhesives that will do what you want. Modern cars use these adhesives instead of nut and bolt fasteners or spot welding in certain locations. Research what is available and order.
