To be honest, I've never used Bee's Wax on leather or anything. I like honey and take bee pollen once in a while as a nutritional supplement, but I've never used Bee's Wax, at least not knowingly.

I would say that natural, organic Bee's Wax is nothing like Dr. Beasley's Leather Lock, which is completely inorganic. Leather Lock is a surface sealer. It seals flexible materials to make them dirt and waterproof. The idea being that foreign substances are less able to penetrate into the material and thus stain the material and/or alter the appearance.

The Leather Lock is for sealing leather surfaces that are new or cleaned and still in good condition. For a car that's already 20 years old, I think you would be just as well to use a quality leather cleaner followed by a leather conditioner.

The secret to keeping leather like-new is regular maintenance of the high-wear surfaces.

When I drive around, here's what I see, and maybe I'm not the only one that sees this? For most of the cars on the road I see ONE PERSON in the car, and they are the driver. The back seats are empty and often the passenger side seat is empty. Like me, all these people by themselves are driving to and from work.

So which seat in a car has the HIGH WEAR surfaces? The answer is the driver's seat. So, to keep a leather interior looking like-new, periodically, or regularly, clean and condition the driver's seat.

Besides that, at some point, wear-n-tear will take its toll on leather seats, and this is usually the sides or bolsters of the driver's seat.

Hope this helps...

Mike
