Hi Mike got the care back from the shop last night. Looks fantastic, however the shop said to use paint thinner Lacquer. Can't spell it lol. I wiped it down but the area didn't clean up up.

I emailed the shop waiting to here.

Suggestions??? I don't want to polish out until the shop sees this.

I wanted to say I used that plastic bag trick and the area is smooth not rough.
Well if this is the only problem this morning it's not bad it's fixable!!! :-)

Hope you don't mind, but I downloaded your original pictures and cropped out the fluff and then resized to 1200 pixels wide and then inserted them into your original post.

To me, the paint looks stained and not just topical, (on the surface), but whatever has caused the stain, it's migrated into the clearcoat layer of paint.

I doubt Paint Thinner or any solvent is going to remove the stain and restore the factory new appearance. My guess is you'll need to machine polish the area and cross your fingers the stain will come out.

I also see what looks like a lot of swirls? Is this from your wiping or is this from the shop?
