Hi all,
I'm starting a professional window cleaning business using D.I. water and a water fed pole for the exterior of the home/business which works great. Standard practice for interior is dawn or dawn/vinegar and squeegee which I am not a fan of. I got to thinking there is a better way and automotive cleaner like ONR or a splash or high quality auto soap or detailer would work really well with some DI water for windows needing soap application. My thought was auto soap is usually very safe pretty streak free has water conditioner and rinse agent's smell great and generally just work better. Cost is not really a concern margins are pretty solid I just want the best cleaning and really pride myself on being different and better. Anyone have any recommendations to try? I'm really trying to separate myself from what little competition I have.
Thanks so much

I actually don't have any favorite or recommended product that fits the criteria you outlined.

For windows with water stains already on the glass, there's a couple of ways to skin that cat.

  • Bar Keeper's Friend.
  • Comet.
  • Bon Ami.
  • Machine polish with foam or microwool pad on an orbital polisher and a clearcoat safe compound or polish.

I had a house in SoCal one time where the sprinkler hit the windows. I machine polished using a Porter Cable and if I remember correctly, this removed the spots/stains. I don't remember the product or pad, but when it comes to topical glass polishing, if the polish or compound is clearcoat safe, it's glass safe.
