Paint correction

I need to sand again later today as the were a few small valleys in the damaged area.

I will sand the area again prior to clear coat then , I will buff the clear lightly again!

Yes, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is one of the more spendy events to attend.

General Admission - $595.00

So yeah, a tick spendy. I don't remember what I paid the one time I went to the event, as this was back in 1990. I was actually out in Monterey as this is where I did the full sand and buff on Terry Cook's 1956 Lincoln Premier. That same weekend I detailed SCRAPE and helped Chip Foose with his car, 0032 a 1932 Ford Roadster.

After all the detailing work, I checked out the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Lots of walking.

Well Mike ! You were correct, the paint came out yesterday while I was wiping the area down before putting the clear down.
I patched this this with spot putty.
I will start sanding today, probably with 1000? I was ticked yesterday!
My plan is to go to the auto supply shop and get a can of paint spray rather than apply with a brush. This has been a good learning experience!

Admire anyone that tries this type of repair. It's normally a tick more difficult than a person would think.

Almost finished, I need to sand /polish out the new paint line , suggestions? 1500-2000 then polish out????
I will need to patch with some bumper resin
To fill the scratch . Spot putty did not adhere. We are getting closer!!!
After this is cured I will clear coat w/2k and use a blender.

Looking a lot better. If you do any sanding, maybe keep it real light, like #3000 grit. You can get sanding film discs at Harbor Freight.
